Larox, Heavy Duty, Abrasion Resistant Peristaltic
Hose Pumps
- This type of design is called a positive displacement
pump. Unlike centrifugal pumps, only the hose size or speed can vary the flow rate. The pressure developed is not proportional
to the flow. This means that when selected correctly, this pump will deliver a specific flow at a wide variety of pressures.
We can change that flow only by using a speed control device such as an inverter drive
- Larox
Heavy Duty Peristaltic Hose Pumps are ideal for heavy, viscous, abrasive media and especially effective
where viscosity can change during a process for example during the life cycle of biomass in effluent treatment plants
- The unique Larox contra-rotating roller design means that there is only one compression
of the hose for every revolution of the pump. Only Larox uses this technology and it is this reason why the Larox pump is
capable of continuous operation, provide the longest hose life possible and have the smallest quantities of lubricant in the
pump chamber
- It is the friction created by multi-lobe
design, adjustable shoes or multiple contact points that defeat the best features of this pump type. Simply explained, if
a pump has three lobes, all imparting heat into the hose three times every revolution, it is obvious that the hose life will
be compromised and that to try and stem this high wear rate, masses of lubricant will be needed or an oversized pump installed unless
you use a Larox Pump
- Larox heavy duty
peristaltic pumps are developed from years of experience in mineral recovery, mineral processing, metal processing industries,
paper and pulp mills, sugar and molasses production and chemical process plants such as TiO2 manufacture, Lime Slurry transfer,
Cement and Aircrete Block manufacture
- If it can
be pumped, there is every chance that somewhere in the world, a Larox Pump has done it, ask us for references for your application
